Proven components have been retained, such as improved original Revox tape heads with a significantly longer service life and the unique Revox motors. All new details, such as the audio technology for even better sound reproduction and recording quality, the precision-manufactured, high-quality tape heads, the pressure roller, a digital counter, playback capability for all common tape standards, XLR IN/OUT, and a wide range of connection and optional expansion options have been perfected by our developers, technicians, and designers. The B77 MK III is manufactured in the Revox factory in Villingen.

Revox B77 MK III Stereo Tape Recorder
What is even better about the B77 MK III than its predecessor, the MK II? The Revox engineers have made every effort to improve the entire electronics based on the simulation options available today and improved components. The result is a further significant improvement in the external voltage drop and a further improved frequency response. During all the development work, however, it was always important to Revox to keep the analog products analog. There are no semiconductors (chips) with software in the entire B77!
Good and proven features have been retained, improvements made and new features added!
The professional XLR – connections of the B77 MK III enable professional audio transmission - according to our guiding principle: Studio sound quality t. The B77 MK III is therefore ideally equipped for perfect recording and playback for private or professional use.
Original Revox Motors
The B77 MK III is equipped with a three-motor drive with direct drive and servo control.
The B77 MK III is equipped with a three-motor drive with direct drive and servo control. Two winding motors bring the tape reels up to operating speed in the shortest possible time or slow them down quickly, precisely and smoothly. The winding motors are particularly strong and robust. Thanks to the increased starting voltage, they bring even heavy metal reels up to operating speed in a matter of seconds. Thanks to the sophisticated technology of the regulated capstan sound motor, even barely perceptible fluctuations in speed are compensated for. The sound shaft of the direct-drive Capstan sound motor is a true masterpiece of precision engineering. Its tolerance is a concentricity of one thousandth of a millimeter. Revox relies on a motor design that has been tried and tested for decades. To this end, the Capstan shafts are produced close to the sound factory in Villingen.
Special capstan shaft and new pressure roller
Seventeen steps are required to manufacture the high-precision capstan shaft.

For the new production of the capstan shaft, it was necessary to use and purchase very special steel. Swiss Steel cooked five tons of this special steel for the manufacture of the high-precision capstan shaft, which requires 17 work steps in production alone.
New pressure roller
Together with the new pressure roller, which is made of light-colored rubber, the capstan shaft moves the belt. Instead of the conventional bearing, the roller is now guided by two ball bearings, which significantly improves the stability and precision of the drive.
Improved original Revox tape heads
Revox has decades of experience in the manufacture of tape heads and has optimized this knowledge for the various tape machines. The professional design of all our tape heads is developed in-house and manufactured to the highest quality using our own processes.
Individual setting options
Many different 1/4“ 2-track tapes can be played and recorded.

The connection concept is suitable for both recording studio connections and private home systems.
